Sunday, November 7, 2010, God called home a BC friend...Jonnie B. McCoy...after a yearlong battle. Jonnie enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her family. She was a vibrant, kind and giving person full of joy and laughter. Even though this past year was filled with fear and uncertainty, and in the end a lot of pain and suffering, she remained strong and brave. About a week before she passed when asked about how she was doing she said "It's a win-win situation. If I beat this...I win. If I die, I go home to see Jesus and I win." When I heard those words I knew she had beaten her illness. Because God had already beaten it with Jesus' salvation, Jonnie was free. It would not weigh her down and keep her in bondage.
Jonnie is the first BC friend that I've lost and the poingnancy is staggering. We pray for healing and restoration and we know God answers prayers, we just never prepare ourselves for Him saying "no". He has his reasons for taking her home now and we will have to trust Him on that. I'm happy she's not suffering any longer and I will miss her, but I know I will see her in Heaven. God Bless Jonnie!

This is really nice. I found this on someone's blog and decided to repost to mine.

Autumn, Pumpkins, Halloween...is everybody ready?
I started looking today for pumpkin soup recipes and found a nice website I wanted to share. I've never made pumpkin soup, which is strange considering I love pumpkins. I'll give one a try and let you know how it turns out. http://www.pumpkinsoup.org/

Newest Cross Stitch / Mirabilia - Autumn in my Garden
Wednesday, August 25, 2010
Just getting started and realizing this is hard. I feel old 'cause I'm sure there are younger people this kind of stuff comes second nature to. Anyway, I'm gonna figure it out. I want this site to be about 2 things...at least. My breast cancer survival and my cross stitch projects. My two biggest passions.
Anyway, watch for more info.
Thanks! Chelle
